Helping the planet one tree at a time with global reforestation project, One Tree Planted
Here at Clover Dental & Implant Centre in Hampshire, we are proud to announce we have partnered with a charity called One Tree Planted which is dedicated to global reforestation. For every new patient examination that’s booked, we will plant a tree!
One Tree Planted, a non-profit organisation plants trees around the world to restore nature and biodiversity. They also raise awareness about the importance of trees and aim to motivate younger generations to do something positive for the environment.
At our dentist in Hampshire, we care deeply about the planet and creating a business that gives back to nature. Trees clean our air and water, create habitat for biodiversity, contribute to our health and wellbeing, and create jobs for social impact. We are honoured to include supporting reforestation through One Tree Planted as a part of our dental practice ethos.
Get involved with One Tree Planted
One Tree Planted is on a mission to make it simple for anyone to help the environment by planting trees. Their projects span the globe and are done in partnership with local communities and environmental organisations to create an impact on nature, people, and wildlife.
Reforestation helps to restore forests that have been degraded by human activities or environmental disasters, provide jobs for social impact, and restore biodiversity habitat. Beyond their reforestation projects, One Tree Planted believes that engaging people who want to get their hands in the dirt is critical to raising environmental awareness. That is why they also organise volunteer events, offer educational materials, and provide ways for businesses to give back. By focusing on collaborative sustainability from the ground up, they hope to make a lasting and positive difference for the planet. Learn more at https://onetreeplanted.org/
Projects around the globe
The reforestation projects of One Tree Planted restore forests around the world after natural disasters and human-caused deforestation. The charity has planted over 135 million trees through hundreds of projects in over 82 countries. The planting of trees benefits the planet, local communities, animals, and wildlife.
In India, the charity’s partners are working with local communities to plant fruit trees to combat hunger, improve local economies, and fight climate change. India’s forests support the livelihoods of almost 275 million people, which highlights how important this work is and what a meaningful impact it has on the people living there. In addition, planting trees helps filter and improve air quality. India suffers from some of the worst air pollution in the world, so this work is vital.
Projects closer to home
Closer to home, in Europe’s forests, extreme deforestation has occurred because of human expansion, conflict, and the Industrial Revolution amongst other factors. Ancient woodlands have been threatened by development, and pests, climate change, and disease have added increased pressure on an already fragmented woodland. In addition, millions of ash trees are under threat from Chalara dieback of ash, which is a serious disease killing ash trees in the UK and Europe.
One Tree Planted are doing fantastic work in the UK, and all around the world. We are happy to support them by planting a tree for every new patient examination we complete. When booking your new patient appointment, not only will you receive exceptional dental care, but you will also be doing your bit for the environment!
